Colour: Medium salmon with a pink hue
Aroma: Intense floral notes of lavender, orange blossom and bath salts. The nose opens to reveal an abundance of red fruit such as raspberries and early summer strawberries, alongside nectarine, ruby grapefruit and blood orange.
Palate: The wine is juicy and moreish. Flavours of sour cherry, raspberry and nectarine are supported by refreshing acidity and a savoury, briny finish. The wine has a good texture, silky tannins and a lovely phenolic grip – a true “gastro wine”!
Grapes: Pinot Noir with a small amount of Riesling
Winemaking: Pinot Noir grapes from Block 22 were picked in late March at optimal ripeness for Rose’ production, destemmed, and allowed to rest on the skins for a few hours until desired colour pick up was achieved.
